Wolf and I moved to Dungog from Sydney in 2006 and it was the best decision we ever made!
After working in Newcastle for a number of years, 2013 was a year of changes and planning began for starting our B&B so Curlew Cottage Bed and Breakfast opened its doors in May 2014. We provide luxury accommodation for couples, singles and groups at the base of the beautiful Barrington Tops.
We love meeting new people and hearing your unique life stories over a delicious and leisurely-paced breakfast — the best way, we feel, to start any day!
Wolf has always been active and fit and is passionate about bushwalking, mountain biking, running and river cascading. He is extremely knowledgeable about the Dungog Common (263 hectares of gorgeous bush walks and mountain bike trails), state forests and the world heritage wilderness jewel in the crown, the Barrington Tops. Cheerfully taking into account your level of fitness and skill, Wolf will help you choose the best outdoor activities to make your stay with us even more enjoyable.
I am involved in a number of activities, less physical but certainly part of the rich fabric of activities Dungog has to offer so am happy to discuss other activities which may take your fancy.
Only a little bit off the beaten track, Dungog and its surrounding villages have so much to offer both visitors and residents alike.
We hope you enjoy your stay with us at Curlew Cottage Bed and Breakfast — a place to drop into and savour regional NSW at its best.
Wolf and I love our playful kelpies, Jacqui and Oliver. When they are on their best behaviour, they are permitted to pay a visit, so you may meet them. The newest member of our canine family is Rhonda, the rescue greyhound and she and Scout a cross labrador/kelpie are my companions if Wolf is busy with other activities.
Cheers
Carol and Wolf
